Crank Pulley Install on 2nd Gen

I was reading http://www.powersurgeperformance.net/pulley_install.htm is there any other way to break the pulley loose with out the tool they use? My buddy bought a pulley used and wants me to put it on but he did not get any tool with it.

You need the large allen socket and some way to lock the engine from turning.

yeah pop the tranny plate off and use a 9/16 wrench to "hold" the motor still
put the box end on one of the torque converter bolts and wedge it , you should be able to break it loose " the crank pully" with a breaker bar and a 14mm torks socket at least on a 99 and 00

Hey Mike, on my 01 it's an 14 allen head socket. Not a torx.
