Can only imagine what will happen over this weekend with petro... according to CNN the biggest refinery in Iraq was bombed early this morning. Damage could take 2 years to repair....

Why is e-85 going up? Are we using Egypts corn?

Because to get the E85 to the pumps cost fees to deliver, the semis run on diesel which is more expensive then regular gas right now. I think it would be the smartest thing to run semis on E85 or something other then diesel. It is still $2.69 here in Iowa, regular is still at $3.49. It sucks because I know gas is about to jump higher then we have ever seen it before its almost like it would be worth storing the stuff in drums for when you really need it.

what do you mean "15% less gas in the mix"?

the seasonal blend on E85 goes from 15% 87 oct to 30% 87 oct in the mix from summer to winter. it's blended in between these extremes in the spring and fall.

oh, in Houston we don't get winter blend so that E-70 minimum is "out of sight out of mind".....you're right

e85 was still 2.69 the other day in edmond oklahoma when I filled up my little svtf on 91 at 3.59 a gallon...............I'm having to travel for work/training until the middle of june. Thankfully I'll be able to write off most of that come tax time next year.

I've been thinking that I'll go ahead and fill up my 15 gallon jugs while the cobra is down for upgrades that way I wont have to worry when it is ready to start burning the corn again.
