Crazy Auto Show description of 2005 Mustang GT!

Went to Philadelphia Auto Show today. "Talking head" promoting the new Mustang GT was bragging that this car had the "biggest displacement" rear end ever on a Mustang at 3.53 to 1!!! LOL!! I didn't even try to say anything.

They build a great product, but, man, they always seem to have a problem properly selling it!!

Ford GT was absolutely awesome!! After looking at bland drivel from GM and Chrysler, am optimistic Ford will pick up with new product-- great trucks as well as promising looking Ford 500 and Freestyle. Guys looking at new Vette were kind of scratching their heads. Same for people looking at Caddy XLR. Can you believe portholes on the new Park Avenue Ultra!! Same at Chrysler-- people were laughing at the new 300C and only paying attention to the trucks. The SRT 10 looks like a garbarge truck!

Foreign manufacturers still attracted more people looking at cars.


Why doesn't Ford display SVT products at auto shows??

The 04 Mystic Cobra was at last years NYC autoshow and the prototype and current last year Lightning were there too. So SVT does usually have products at those shows.

No SVT for 05, therefore no new SVT. They usually have current models on the displays somewhere. Most local dealers that supply the "normal" cars for shows would not give up their few mystics to be pawed over. 2 days until ford reveals the "other version" of the mustang for 05 In Chicago on press day
