Crazy scenario. Police respond to a domestic dispute call, the camera guy is a neighbor trying to help out, the closest cop was only on the force for a short time (a few weeks maybe), and the one who got shot.

The officer who got shot was a friend of mine. We were stationed together in San Diego many years ago. He got out and became a cop in El Cajon California.

The bullet entered his left temple and excited behind his right ear. How he survived that was a miracle.

Dont think you could pay me to move back to the NOVA area. It was shitty as a kid/teen growing up in the 80's/90's (highway kid) and youre right, its way worst now. I try my best not to even visit anymore.

Hard to see at full speed but the guy pointed the gun right at the cop as he got out of the car. Also surprised to see the cop with a comp on his gun.
