Just used some scratch remover, polish and finished it up with a sealant. Treat it just like paint and it's easy to live with and looks awesome :)

and may as well throw in the SRT :D Black Diamond is so forgiving and awesome to work with. It makes black an actual liveable color, I love it. This thing is the devil to detail :)

My process right now

Optimum No Rinse
Clay
3M rubbing compound with red meguires pad and porter cable
Meguires Ultimate Polish with yellow pad
Meguires NXT with black pad
Gold Class Carnuba spray wax (if doing a show)

I'll do a detail like that twice a year, otherwise it's just wash and wax.

I know a lot of people stay away from black cars but I feel like if the car is in a garage and washed once a week they really are not that hard to keep clean but yes some areas are worse then other but your cars are looking sweet!!!

Gloss black is just so hard to have right. Any streak or smudge sticks out like a sore thumb so it takes a bit more time. I always put some sort of topper on the Jeep just because gloss black paint never looks clean to me just washed. Some carnuba spray or liquid wax makes it look right IMO.

It's a tough color but when it's clean it's far and away the best color on most cars :D

Nice! I was going to do a detail on mine this weekend, but it's looking a little gloomy and possibly stormy so maybe not. I picked up the Griots 6" polisher over X-mas (along with a ton of other stuff) and can't wait to really dive in. My Accord doesn't really have many swirls, no holograms and no deep scratches so I think it should be relatively simple.

Have you thought about putting something on it that's a little more durable? I don't know which one you DD or if you drive them all about equal, but a good sealant or coating could help a ton so you're not having to break out the PC 2+ times a year. I'm using Menzerna Powerlock right now, but I really want to give Pinnacle's coating a try...that or Cquartz.

Cars look great btw! :)

Very nice job with the detailing. Yeah, black paint is tough, but looks so nice when nicely detailed.

Garage lights are great at showing all the imperfections

You'll love the polisher if it's your first. Even for just applying wax it gets it so thin that it's effortless to take off. I've tried tons of products and I enjoy detailing so for me I get the ones that take the least amount of effort and give me the results I want :) If anyone wants a full check list here you go :)

Simple Green and wash engine/steam around tight spots
Optimum No Rinse Car Wash
Clay
3M rubbing compound with red meguires pad and porter cable
Meguires Ultimate Polish with yellow pad
Meguires NXT with black pad for dark cars; Mothers High Gloss Reflections for lighter cars
Gold Class Carnuba spray wax (if doing a show)
Dress tires
Invisible Glass on Windows out (with Mothers back to black on trim if needed) and then open doors and inside windows
Wipe door jams
Mequires Interior Quick Detailer on dash etc (leaves a nice matte finish which I prefer)
Lexol Leather Cleaner
Lexol Leather Conditioner with some sort of heat until the product stops soaking in (either the sun, a hair dryer, or a steam pad for me)
Vacuum
Tuff Stuff on carpets and floor mats

and you've got a car that in most cases looks better than the day you got it :D
