Difference Between 3v and 4v blocks

Im looking to buy a 5.4 block and i found a local guy selling an 05 f-150 motor for $300.
Its a 3v and im wondering if the sohc and dohc blocks are the same,oil and coolant passages.i read somewhere that Sohc blocks have an extra hole but im unsure.ive tried looking it up but cant find a definitive answer

The water pump pocket has a plug on the Shelby and for the truck it has a tube that is pressed in. So you would have to press the tube out and get a plug from Ford to press in to block it off.
