Does anyone still pull their headlight to get the cool air on their filter?

Just wondering if anyone in the terminator community still does this I run without my passenger headlight on my 97 I datalogged some iat1 and 2 temps and I was surprised how effective this was temps were 20 degrees cooler they were precisely ambient vs with the headlight in place I seen 20 degrees above ambient

i do and ive seen quite a few other guys who track theirs as well.
i bought a cheap repro headlight off ebay and cut open so it has a better factory look than nothing in there at all.

I was thinking exactly that would be a cleaner look

This mod along with the hood louvers you're considering should serve you well.

I do it, not sure what it's worth on lower power cars, but it consistently nets me over 1mph in the 1/4. Not huge, but it's not nothing. My headlight is "funneled", not removed completely.
