Looking to get a '15 or '16 automatic with premium interior for my daughters first car. Is there a clearly better engine between the I4 turbo and the V6? Also, any known issues I should watch out for?

Thanks in advance for any input!

If its for your daughter I would have to go with the v6. My wife drives a v6 to work everyday 75 miles there and back and it works like a champ

My ecoboost ran without a hiccup. Since daughter, I would find the best deal regardless.

I agree about preferring the V6 for your daughter. The V6 behaves differently compared to the 2.3L EcoBoost. A V6 (non-turbo) engine will feel very linear when accelerating. So V6 acceleration will be consistent and smooth.

I bought my daughter a 2017 2.3 echo-boost premium last month and she loves it. She’s 17 and About to graduate. She drove a 2002 explorer for the last year without an accident or ticket so I figured she could handle it. She loves it.
