The 5.4 block has a approx 1" higher deck height then a 4.6. This of course spreads the heads out so the intake no longer fits. Plus the accessory bracket no longer fits properly.

Not sure how he managed to spend $15k in machine work to accomplish this...
It is not easy though. It is not worth it at all. You get 50 more cubes when in the end that money could be spent on a 3.4 whipple or TT setup.

Bang for the buck? No.
Cool? Yes.

Also, by the time you are able to adapt the intake to this setup it sits like 2" higher then a stock setup so you have to go with a cowl hood as well.

They do make a 5.0 mod block now with the same deck height and everything as a 4.6. Its a thicker block as well and it much stronger. Not that mod blocks weren't strong enough as it was...

The only good thing about the 5.4 is the block. So if you want a 5.4 just got a block ($100-200 used) and get a speed shop to do all the good stuff to it.

Then get you a stroker crank and the other internals. Only reason to go 5.4 is to go stroker because of the vast deck height difference...allows you to stroke the **** out of it.

Reichard Racing offers the 5.4 to 4.6 intake adapter plates.

As far as the accessory brackets most people try to find the Cobra R stuff to adapt it.
