this is the least of his worries. There’s a bounty hit coming his way now on this dude Probably not this season but it’s a sealed deal.

I've watched this 20 times, and it was a hard hit for sure, and sympathies to Evans, but it doesn't strike me as dirty. Vicious? Yes, but not dirty IMO. There's a difference.

Wow that was a hard hit. Hopefully Evans will be ok. At least he scored a goal!

You got to love NHL playoffs! I don't see it as dirty, but someone gets hurt like that they will suspend Scheifele.

in the ESPN article thats basically what they said - the play and basically the game were over, he took one hand off the stick to deliver the hit so he wasn't making a play for the puck either.

I dont see why thats a 4 game suspension but earlier in the season what started the whole Rangers/Caps things was nothing

Hits like this are extremely rare in today's sissy NHL. 20+ years ago they were common place and legal and there was nobody better ever than Scott Stevens.

Lol, collateral damage on a few of those. Taking out the teammates in the process.

When I was a kid my dad and I used to go to AHL games in the 70s. So many hard hits and brawls. Blood and teeth all over the ice.

Makes me miss playing roller hockey when I was younger and my parents still had their rink. I was 14 and would play with my older brother on the adult team because we didn't have a junior team and I could out skate everyone else anyways so we would play on quads just for fun, and it allowed us to run in them and explode in any direction from a dead stop.

Had a few opponents well into their 30s and 40s and 4x my size try to put hits on me and take me out a few times but I would just duck out and away to avoid the hit so I don't remember ever getting rocked at all like any of those hits. Worst I ever got was a slap-shot to the face with the ball. I should have moved over to ice and kept playing because roller hockey will get you nowhere, but I probably never would have had the size to go anywhere with it anyways. Regardless though, it is one of the most fun sports to play and I played every chance I could get. My cousin's boy has been playing ice since he was old enough to join a team so I wouldn't be surprised to see him go majors someday.

It was a clean hit. 4 games is bullshit. If you skate with your head down, bad shit happens.

I never like seeing someone get hurt. Hit? Yes. Hurt?...no. You should know to look up earlier in those situations...eesh. Or at least look over your shoulder and not go in blindly.

He will be feeling that for a while.

It's a good hit till you see some other angles. He gets walloped in the head and it's a big no no in the NHL.

Man, I don't know. These playoffs have been full of HUGE hits and bad blood. Feel bad for my Pens because they just aren't built to play that way right now.

    Nah, thats Shea Weber.
Top notch defensemen who isn't afraid to drop them when needed. Far from a goon.

Earl Campbell. Never been anyone like him before or since. He could run over you, run around you, or just flat out-run you. Hell of a great guy, too.

Didn't Kariya come back from that hit later in the game and score a goal (game winner maybe?)
