...somehow the brakes look bigger then the 16" 6 pistons on the GT350, not sure if they are but they are not the same as the performance pack or GT350 brakes, dont know if it will have option for a stick but this supercharged voodoo mule has the 10 speed auto and a gt350 nose.

Thinking fall release or Q3 release as a 2018 model?

They won't build it on the current platform since they are changing it for MY18.

Or are they lengthening product life cycles by building the hi po variants toward the end? We are just seeing the 991 GT3 etc.

That may work for Porsche, it wouldn't for Ford, IMO.

I wouldn't be surprised if they announce it late this year as a 2019 variant.

    I see your point.

Consider that everyone does it already Ferrari (speciale), Lamborghini, MB, Ford (with gt350), Chevy with c7 ZR1, etc. two birds with one stone as far as keeping the cars performing and capturing market share as time goes on.

Hoping you're right though, would like the king of Stang's to be as modern as the 4 banger when released.

We'll see! It really wouldn't surprise me if it was a 2019. That would give Ford time to make any necessary changes to the new platform to accommodate it.

Crazy how this time last year almost all believed it would be a MY18 and now it seems that's almost 100% not happening. Meanwhile Chevy and Dodge both have killer new offerings.

At this point, Ford should slow it down and make sure they spend their R&D properly to release a badass vehicle. If you're late to a party, you better bring the best beer, or it's not worth going to.

It will be a model 2018, not sure why OP put 17 because that ship has sailed. Just be a little patient, I'd expect an announcement after a little Demon noise settles down.

An sc fpc? Yes please. Sc cpc? Still nice and all, but nothing spiffy and new about that.

The fpc is a trump card, I'm hoping Ford capitalizes on it.

It would be the smoothest, silkiest sc v8 on the market. Easy 750-800hp.

Probably could run mid 10's with the auto at 135.

I agree the crank will help separate it now, or so Ford hopes since turbos won't. That and being a 4v. Though I don't expect it to be smooth.

It'll be a very smooth boost mill. It won't feel restricted or blocked up at high rpm or partial load.

it will probably only need 8-10psi to make the safest 800hp tune on the market.

That will just add low end torque, and meaty punch to a motor that already loves to rev. It won't bother the revability.

If you've had a chance to ride in a twinscrew supercharged 4.2L v8 Audi like an rs4, rs5, r8 you'll get an idea, but even those are cpc, just high rpm tailored. Another example are pd blown e92-96 m3 4.0 v8's.

Then consider its fpc, lethal performance did a nice few videos on how fast/smooth/still great their whipple gt350 was.
