I picked up a set of new Ford Racing valve covers awhile ago and spent some time in the shop cleaning them up. Removing extra flash and many imperfections (they're still not PERFECT) and then painted them with genuine mystic.

They've been sitting on the shelf for months now.

They look great, but since I have plenty of paint I can always do another set later should I decide to.

They worth selling, or are they going to continue sitting in the closet?!

Tried to get pics, but they just come out looking green if I'm inside and they just shine outside.

Not a good day for trying to take pics of mystic today I guess...

how will that paint handle the heat?

A friend of mine has the same thing done on his Procharged mystic and it seems to be holding up just fine.

Not a tremendous amount of heat soak into the valve covers apparently.

And to reiterate, YES. They are finished in genuine Glasurit (BASF) 1996 code LF...mystic
