I have a Whipple 2.9 with 3.25 pulley, jba longtubes, CJ 65mm throttle body, JLT 123 cai with FIC 1000cc injectors and Lethal BAP. I want to upgrade to a 3.0 pulley and 170 Whipple elliptical throttle body for a few extra ponies. On down the line I want to add L&M NSR cams. Will the FIC 1000s support this combo or should i upgrade to 1300s? Of course I know to "ask my tuner," or "Whipple tech support" but just asking here for those with similar combos.

You are good on 1000s on pump gas with your current set up. You want 1300s if you switch to e85 but you will probably break your stock rods before you will run out of injector.

On comparable platforms, you're going to burn 30% more fuel by volume with E85 over gasoline. So the real answer has more to do with what fuel you intend to use and how much power you intend to make. Generally you're maxing out 95 pph injectors on E85 in the 800 rwhp range, but you have a lot of headroom remaining on gasoline.

I have a similar setup on my 2014 - 2.9, 2.75" pulley, JLT 127, VMP 67, BAP's, etc. I made 750 wheel on 93 with the FIC 1000's and 800 on race gas. Plenty of room left in injectors
