After owning a bunch of different mustangs over the years and several different variants of the current platform (12,13 boss, auto 13 gt, manual 13 gt) finally pulled the trigger on a gt500. Traded in my grabber blue 13 gt on this 2010 grabber blue gt500. It is a one owner car with 6500 miles on it. Totally stock when purchased. Had a bunch of problems with the manual gt's/boss and had the motor replaced under warranty on the blue gt I traded in. So hoping to avoid the issues with the 5.0's with the gt500. After only driving a few miles I will say that the 6060 is so much better than the MT82 in the gt's!

gt I traded in

Car was in good shape, but paint was a little swirled. Had the car tinted and tinted all lights

rear brakes were dingy, so decided to paint them as well as clean up wheels, fender wells and front brakes and added black lug nuts

Then started removing the factory stripes, which was a pain. Decided to remove all the badges (for painting) and hood vent.

Then some underhood and interior attention. The white stripes in the seats were dirty, so treated them with zanio leather cleaner

Added strut tower brace, JLT catch cans filled in grabber blue, JLT Carbon fiber intake tube, battery/brake covers, trucarbon fuse box with snake, blue filter and moved the ugly white harness that was on the passenger side strut tower.

Have some trucarbon exterior pieces waiting to go on, and a few other little under hood touches and they will be shopping for some wheels. Thanks for reading!

Great job! I also stripe-deleted my old '10 Shelby, think they look way better as a solid color.

Congrats on the latest purchase. When you posted up the first pic i thought "not a fan of white stripes." Great minds think alike i guess. If i were you i would just find your old silver Terminator on CCWs and call it a day (my favorite of all the cars you have had). Your White L was orgasmic also (My girlfriends words). Hahaha

Great write up! Are you gonna stick with the stock wheels?

Thanks, I don't hate the stock wheels but kind of want something else.

Best color and I love the stripe delete. I also liked the wheels on the grabber GT. What did you get the GT500 for if a May ask?

Thanks, I liked the gt I had. It was a base model with cloth recaros and spoiler delete. I got the Gt500 in the mid-upper 30's.

Yeah the stripes were a little much on this color. I do miss that car and the L, both were very clean. Seemed like it was so long ago when I had those lol. Your car was probably still 2v then. Love seeing your car back with BBS wheels!

Solid work man! Perfectly modded, and touched up IMO. Easily looks 10X better with those little touches. I'll bet the previous owner would be sick if he saw it now. I'm digging your style.

IMO it looks much better/cleaner without the stripes. Good job and congrats on the car!

I bet your neighbors just think you got new wheels for your "Mustang" and don't even realize it's a completely different animal!!! lol
