Hey everyone. Been a member for a long time but just had the opportunity to purchase my first terminator. Car has had a few owners over the years and has been modified be either all of them or one and unfortunately the guy I bought it from didn’t exactly know the specs of all of the modifications. I was hoping I could post a few pictures and get as much info as I can. The car is an 03 with 53k. It has what appears to be a gen1 2.2 kenne (haven’t seen any oil on the snout) the I know it has an SN95 Fore duel return style fuel system but I’m not sure what pumps are in the tank. Not sure what injectors. Car has what appears to be a homebuilt cage style subframe connector that runs all the way from the middle to outside of the car with 1” square tubing. I think it may be custom (I’m going to have to fix some of the welds). The car definitely has an idle issue and acts like it’s going to die sometimes when rolling in neutral. I plan to take the car to manny at HPP as soon as i can for a tune. I have Whistler wheels but can’t fit center caps on the front wheels. Thanks guys. Not sure what coils are on the car but it is lower and definitely needs CC plates. I’ll get better pictures when it stops raining.

Congrats on the purchase. I did the same thing with getting my first 03/04 Cobra this year as well. Sounds like it definitely has a tune issue going on. I'd be easy on it until you can get it on a dyno and see what is actually going on.

Post up some pictures of the mods in question and we'll be able to tell you what you have.

I'd recommend giving it a full tune up and sending it off to the tuners.. That's the first thing I always do when I get one of these cars.

Doesn’t stifflers make a boxed square tubing connector?
Agree on the tune, especially since the PO didn’t even know what he had and it has a drive ability issue.

Congrats! Post up some photos of the interior, exterior and engine bay. Especially multiple of the engine bay to help identify some of the mods. Mods like fuel pumps will be more difficult to ascertain. What color are the injectors?

Congrats on your new cobra.

One thing I noticed in your suspension pic was the buildup of crud on you half shaft boot. You need to take a closer look at it as you may have a bad bearing or hole in your boot.

Mine looked similar on my passenger side, thought it was the boot until I took it apart and realized the knuckle bearing was junk. The bad bearing ate the hub too and the driver side was right behind with the same issues.

If you need bearings get them from rock auto, half the price of FTBR. If your hubs are bad your only option is FTBR. luckily they are making hubs for us.
