I know this kind of posts get old but I'm pretty excited to finally get my build underway. I've been doing small things over the years but finally got to a point where I'm collecting parts to put them all on at once and have it tuned. This will be my winter project and hope to have it done by next spring.

This is probably a pretty common build but it's what I wanted. The goal was around 700+ to the ground on e85 that could be daily driven. Let me know if you see anything I'm not thinking of.

Things already on the car.
JLT Cold Air ( upgrading to high boost)
JLT Catch Cans
FTBR IRS bushing, rear diff cover
MGW Shifter
Maximum Motorsport subframes
MAC Long tubes and Prochamber
Aeroforce Guages
Innovate dual wideband
H&R Race springs
SCT Tuner
MM Caster Camber plates

Parts ordered
TVS 2.3 21psi (no lower)
GT500 Throttle body
McCleod RXT/Flywheel/TOB/ETC
26 spline input shaft
FTBR bumpsteer kit
170 Thermostat
Afco Dual Pass heat exchanger
SCT BA-3000
Whipple Adjustable Idler
Metco Dual bearing Idler Kit
Cobra Engineering Cooling mod
Intercooler and Coolant tanks (only cause mine started leaking)

Left to buy
Fuel System
Injectors
Thump Racing tensioner

Sweet build bro, I plan on doing very similar things with mine!

I have been looking into the protection side of things and while I don't have it installed on my build I have seen great things about the J&S Vampire Knock kit. Spending this kind of coin needs to have safe guards.

Also, boundary oil pump gears!

Nice parts list. Consider doing a lower versus a small upper only. You’ll be fighting belt slip.

Look into 07-10 GT500 slot style

Maf over the SCT.

ID1000 or 1300’s all day for the injectors

Other than the fact that you ordered the Whipple tensioner, wouldn’t it have been more beneficial to run a bigger lower/bigger upper combo rather than ordering both thump and Whipple tensioners? Seems like it will be a good build, should be clipping close to 700hp. Post up progress pics.

Couldn't agree more with the slot MAF. Makes tuning it a B R E E Z E. Injectors just ask your tuner. I went 95# DeatschWerks and they seem very solid and are $300 cheaper.

For what you're installing the oil pump gears would be a JOB, I did it but only cuz I had everything out and apart.

Too late now I bought the SCT.

I personally don't want to run a lower. I plan on having the pulley carbonite coated to reduce belt slip.

I have the BA3000 on my car and I had no problems tuning it. If you were a centri set up I'd say send the SCT back and get a slot style.

Do the Cobra's have issue with oil pump gears like the 5.0's had? How hard are they to install, I've never looked before.

Personally it's not something I'd tackle unless I was in there already. You have to get behind the timing chains.

Yeah I think that's what I'm going to do. I mean it doesn't look too difficult more time consuming. But I have no reason at the moment other than that to just tear it all apart.
