I agree that the aftermarket made the cars basically a blank canvas for whatever you wanted and could afford. I also remember the snap oversteer that was inherent to the Fox Body rear suspension that made me shit my pants more than once. SN95 Cobras tamed it a bit, but it was still lurking at the limits. Edit: I've never driven my Mystichrome Cobra on the road course and I won't, but the IRS with springs, bushings, subframes, IRS cover is significantly more stable than the old Fox/SN95 4-link. It's my cruiser and maybe my manual transmission keeper.
