Got a call from the tuner, all sorts of racket from the right bank. Motor has to come back out.

1) Blown head gasket, motor was swapped for built
2) Valve springs broke, motor came back out
3) Found out motor had wrong compression, motor came back out
4) As I sit today, pulling the motor back out to see what's up.

Bought the car about 4-5 years ago with 48k now sits with 51-52k.
Frustrating as hell but endless learning. Hopefully tear into her this week and see what's up. Seriously debating having a shop assemble everything this time. Trying to balance house projects, car projects and spare time is damn near impossible.
Just hoping for the best!

May look into selling my 65. Its been sitting for far too long and two.blower cars as projects is getting expensive.

You could always have proline assemble the engine but its gonna be $$$ or have Kurgan do it. Both would be good choices. And I know exactly how you feel man.

Depends on the damage. Ill see when I pull it. I'm really not sweating it oddly enough, its a bummer. But is what it is. If nothing is damaged, ill have the tuner assemble chains and such. If the shortblock has damage ill venture to proline most likely. Time will tell!

I'd read somewhere recently that Proline isn't taking on any new modular builds. I could be totally wrong about that as I never investigated that myself, but you may want to research other shops just in case.

Good luck with your project!
