Fun with a Z06

Yep was coming home on the highway and rolled up on a awsome yellow Z06. I signaled the Z06 driver to see if he was game he was. He pulled on me pretty damn good. We pulled up into mc donalds and talked for a bit he has exhaust and intake done. Awsome guy with an awsome car. I def. did not mind losing to him. Time to start adding some mods. Currently im 3 and 1 not to bad only having her for about 2 weeks. Once again probs to mark that was the z06 driver. Good guy. Represented Z06 owners really well.

Yeah im stock down to the paper filter. I really dont think he would of cared if i beat him cause he told me he heard with a few mods i would be beating him. i know you were joking just showing there are cool z06 guys out there

Honorable. I must say you guys have been spicing it up on the streets with the '03's. I never see vipers or supras (save one) running around. Only a few cars get a Z06 drivers heart pumping when he see's it. The cobra is one of them and the rest are too few and far in between. I saw an '03 in my rearview last night. No sooner than I saw him, my heart started pumping and it felt good to have that feeling again (it's been awhile) as I turned off the traction control. He took an exit, so no play. When I saw him exit, I saw the wide meats on the rear. I think it would've been fun.

My brother has a 2000 FRC (Fixed Roof Coupe), so I definitely respect the Vettes as well (especially the ZO6). They're definitely fun to drive.

Now. . . if only I had an 03 Cobra so I could hand his @$$ to him.

Yep he would have been. The Z you raced (Mark) is a cool guy and has been around all kinds of performance cars (ZR-1,Vipers and other vettes) and respects them all. Good post and BTW Mark is like 23 or 24. We are getting him fitted for his gold chains and viagra

I knew it wasn't one of my budies because you don't have any tint on it right? I think I saw you around Sherwood on Friday. As soon as you said it was a yellow ZO6 I figured it was Mark. :coolman:

There's a group of us that have 03's around here in the LR/NLR/Jacksonville area. We are constantly going to the drags and autocross. We are all modded, so you might like to come check our cars out before you do anything to your own, then you can choose which fits your interest best (catback choice for example).

I'm thinking it's a closer race than experienced, but over 100/120, the vette's gonna pull anyway because of aerodynamics. We're a lot closer than you think and I've seen track runs of stocks where the Cobra wins by a hair.

Hey whats up this is mark. Just thought I would say hi. was reading the post and thought it was cool.
O ya and if you would have beat me that would have been cool. I have much respect for the COBRA, I love them as a car and think they look really good and run really good. The only reason I didnt get one was at the time I didnt know many ford guys and I have some friends at the Chevy dealer and thats worth a lot...cause he hooks me up and will warrenty anything . I had to sell my last vette when she was pregnant with Christian but not this time. One of my buds said "hey why don't you just go buy her that mustang she wanted that way you will have a sports car with a back seat ?" Is he a plant from SVT to get me to turn to the dark side ?

Hehe, he has a good point though! Many Cobra owners on this site could have bought a Vette, but they needed the back seat for kids etc. You're not going to get any help talking you away from the Cobra from me! :beer:

Sure thing, on the AutoX. I think you'll love it. Your car should really shine there! As for Memphis, I'm cruising up there this weekend to get my car Dyno'd, but I won't be racing it. I don't think I'll take it down the strip again until the weather cools off a lot more. I generally only go in hopes to better my times, and there's no way I'm going to do that in this heat.:cryying:

I just ordered my exhaust and intake so ill pe putting those on this weekend i hope, if it all gerts here in time. Its also aswsome to see the rest of the arkansas cobra's come out.
