Hey guys, just would like some knowledge on what gears you would put in your mach 1's?

And also what gears come stock in the 03-04 mach 1's?

Thanks a bunch!

3.55s are stock.

4.10s work well. I have them with my blower and the car rips.

4.10 if you don't do a lot of highway or don't mind a MPG drop get 4.30 and if you do a lot of track get 4.56

Would 3.73 help out at all? I do 90% highway driving and I think 4.10's would be a bit too much for all the highway driving I do.

You're not going to notice a difference between stock and 4.10s regarding gas mileage.

I averaged 21.9 MPG mixed city/highway with my 4.10s when I was N/A.

4.10's bro i have them 15-17mpg city 23-25 highway. gets off the line and rips threw 4th in the 1/4 mile. best bang for the buck besides 100-125 horse nitrous system. I cut 4 tenths with 4.10's & a tune by tim @ MPH

My daily driver has 4.30s in it. I drive the freeway all the time. Even driven to Vegas many times. In 5th gear at 80mph the rpms is 2850.

There is no measureable difference in gas milege by changing the rear gear ratio. Remember, an engine does not consume more fule soley because it is spinning at a higher rpm. It could be argued that the 4.30 geared motor spinning at 3K rpm will be more efficient than a 3.55 geared motor spinning at 2300rpm. Fuel consumption has a lot to do with load/hp. This is dictated by throttle postion and rpm, not rpm alone.

4.10s in your case....best compromise, i would think. 3.73s too low in your scenario. ? 4.30s wee bit high...idk.
gears are great tho. 3.27 to 3.73 for me was night and day. wow!
