Ok I'm thinking about breaking down and buying gears. I'm probably going to go with some 4.10s. Will gears make as much of a difference as people say if its an auto?

Cool. How about installation? How much does it run normally? And how long would it take to do if I got a shop to do it for me?
Most plases would charge around $400-600, should't be more than 4 hours.
So a 350 offer is a deal?

I was quoted $600 for the gears and labor...the gears are $200 alone.
The most important thing is to go witha reputable shop. THere are a few shops out there that are willing to try anything and dont' know what they are doing..........wouldn't want to be in that type of situation.

Yeah that price sounds great. Also keep in mind if you buy Ford Racing Gears you can use the factory shims. Any other sets and you will usually have to have some shims made.

4:10's are great and so it $$$350, u can really feel the difference off the line and up top on the highway!!!!! Really feel em in the Auto's!!!
