Anyone try to get rid of the little plastic dots in the rear window? The windows are a bear to tint and the little dots dont allow the material to adhere very well around the edges. Help.

sand down the dot matrix, apperently its the worst thing to try and tint
when I got my tint they just sanded it down

An even easier way is to leave the dot matrix untinted and put adhesive black vinal on the inside on the untinted part.

Has anyone trird to take them off with a razor blade?
Or you can also tape off and paint all the black dots a flat black. Looks better than the vinyl and never has a problem of coming off.

Yes, I did it myself. I have no pics, but will try to get some this weekend.
Just flat black spray from, say walmart works great.
Mask it off w/ masking tape and papertowels. This is the key, you have to mask well to get a good spray, obviously.

just put a stripe of vynal on the top.
Like all the others said, do the black vinyl. I have a strip on the outside to cover the dot matrix and it looks pretty good.
I hear all mustangs have that problem from 99-04
