After 13yrs with a truck, considering selling\trading mine and maybe no longer having a truck. We still have a big family SUV, but obviously not the same. Anyone did this and how soon did you regret it, or not? I feel like I'm going to need a truck for 10 things in the first month I don't have one. I don't have any immediate family with one I could easily borrow either. I'm the guy in the family with a truck that everyone calls - won't miss that.

Never ever, but I refused everyone that even asks. I hate all my family except my kids, and they have trucks. Friends, never.

Being in redneck USA everyone and their frigging brother has a truck here. So I don't get the ask for help scenario. I can tell you the convince of a truck is well you know. It's to the point I'll be getting a diesel hopefully soon.
It's the better have it and not need it then need it and not have it scenario.

I've had a truck as long as I've had a driver's license. Truck was in the shop last year for about a month and I needed a straight jacket...it drove me insane not having it. Think of it like a gun.....rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it!!

I'm on my second truck. Had the first one for 11 years.
I have it mostly because of the 4X4 and living in the northeast, it does great in the winter.

I had a period of two years I didn't have a truck, or at a minimum my Cherokee. Since then I won't not have one around. It's just far too handy.

I always have a company service truck.
I'm one of the owners so I get to chose what I drive.
Nearly a year ago I traded my F-250 for a Sprinter.
I won't be going back to a pickup.

As far as car vs truck I prefer to drive a car over a truck.

Mustang or Mercedes.

Why not have three vehicles? I have an older cheap truck that stays in the driveway until a need arises.
