I know the best place to get travel advice is from people that have been there before so give me a few places i must see while I'm there. I will be there next week wednesday through sunday. Thanks in advance.

Obviously any of of the hotel/casinos are cool, I especially liked Caeser's Palace. Don't forget about the older part of the strip as well.

I know everyone on everyone forum says to search even when the most obscure question comes up, but seriously, this exact question comes up as a thread every couple of weeks.

Blue Man Group.

Itll change your life. 'nuff said.

otherwise just walk up and down the strip, visit all the little random places and huge outlet centers. Theme casinos are tight when it comes to the machines, if you want the true gambling experience, you have to go downtown (Fremont St.), their machines are loose and pay out well. youll get sucked dry of $100 at any big theme casino, but the smaller places you can crank away $100 all night long.

Im a fan of hanging out at a machine and drinking away. Rum+cokes on the house ftw, just tip your waitress each time, shell keep em coming! If she doesnt, move onto a different section of machines and a different waitress.

Well IMO anything more than 2 day's is too long. When we go (which is about once a year) we usually go for 2 day's anything after that it starts to get boring. You see the same stuff all the time and it gets old. However if it's your first time, it should be fun. If you like to gamble be prepared to spend alot of money. Since we go often, we pretty much just go up there to hangout and party. The roller coaster ay NY NY is pretty fun as well, and some nice shops at Ceasars that you could spend some bucks at. Anyway, have fun.

how old are you?

I just went for the first time in November and had a blast. was there for 7 days and still had stuff to do.

Hoover Dam
Shelby Tour @ 10am
In & Out Burger rocks
Lamborghini of Las Vegas
Shows but they are $$$
Go to the Luxor Hotel...hitch a ride ot the top floor too!!
Watch the Bellagio water shows..cool
Walk through the Venition...aweosme
Fremont St at night
LV Speedway and The Strip

thats a few things I would tell people to check out the first time. reason I ask is how old is because if your a party'er/clubber you wont sleep...just be prepared to dish out $30 for cover. 2 days is NOT enough time if you are having fun!

Little insider tip, they have these machines that ALWAYS paid out for me. I mean always. They are in every casino too, which means you can be a winner everywhere.

Just look for the machines with the little red or green ATM above them. Man those bitches always paid me off.

Well aren't you just the pro now ? :burn:

+1 what Jake said above...

Also, the Car collection at the Imperial Palace...

Toby Keith's bar and grill at Harrah's was good, the buffet at the Mirage for breakfast or dinner, and if you want an upscale meal, go to The Range, also at Harrah's. Three of us went, and it was $65 each including tip, but the meal was sooooo good !!!!

be ready to be broke, meals and drinks are totally over priced

i mean for a regualr gin and tonic is like 12 bucks (not shelf) and a steak was like 45 bucks! sometimes buffets are just as much as a regular meal so dont think its any cheaper

The buffets at the Bellagio and Excalibur are pretty decent. The other major casinos are way over priced. Friday night is Seafood night at most casinos.

There are tons of food and drink specials to be had, just look around, that's how they lure you into their casinos. Food and drinks is deffinatly not going to be what breaks you in Vegas.

We stayed at Planet Hollywood and LOVED IT. Go to Shelby Automotive at Las Vegas motor Speedway. We rented a car for 1/2 a day and went to the tour at 10am, and then drove around the speedway for a bit to check it out, then drove back to the hotel.

The water show in front of the bellagio is nice. Caesars palace is nice. We also went to see David Copperfield at the MGM grand, that was bad ass. Circus O' Lay was pretty cool (I think thats how you spell it, not 100% certain).

Going to the top of the stratosphere was pretty bad ass. There are some rides up there, which I did, but it was colder then hell.

Hoover dam would be cool. I personally didnt go to see it, but next time I most likely will. Walkign the strip was fun. I recommend if you go towards the ends, you pay the couple dollars for the bus and take it from one end to the other.

Roulette, I won over 2 grand on that. All about luck, no skill required haha

There's actually quite a lot of skill involved in roulette. It isn't just putting chips on black/red, even/odd, or picking a random number. Random numbers pay well when they hit, but statistically you can figure out decent bets on quadrants, lines, etc that all pay well.

I'm really surprised no one has suggested the OP visit the Bunny Ranch for some PIIHB action.

No need to hit the ranch, hang out in the casino bars late at night, they will come to you. Ahemm, so i've heard.

If you are going with your wife you need to go to Fontana Lounge at Bellagio. It is the only place that you can sit on the water and watch the show. Drinks are reasonable also. This is the best place to take your girl on the strip. Most people do not know about it which is a good thing because it would be packed.
