GT500 stereo overhaul

It was time to upgrade the shaker 1000 to something a little nicer.

I have been wanting to upgrade for years, but used most mod money other places. I also added the FRPP rear seat delete kit to help counter some of the added weight. I didn't weight all the added and removed parts but I think I'm really close to breaking even.

The system includes

Alpine 535 DVD headunit
Focal access 3 way door speakers
Focal access 5x7 rear speakers
JL 600/1 and 400/4 amps
JL 12w6 subwoofer

New trunk lid carpet to cover the dynamat

Headunit

Flush mounted amps with a raised carpet SVT logo

Finished product

Seat delete

I built everything my self and did all the fiberglass work. My friend Doug owns Fresh Designs in Ellicott City, MD who did the install

The trunk is still usefully. There is still enought room for an average size suitcase

I really don't take it on long trips other then carlise or maybe ocean city. Plenty of room for detail supplies and clothes

Edit: How's it sound? I dynamat'd my entire trunk and back seat area, and that alone made my stock 1000watt system sound light years better. I bet the new sub is really nice! It looks really good, man.

This system sounds great! It has great mids and highs and the JL really hits. Also not a single rattle! I'm super happy with it
