GT500 Superchanger off?

My friend got a GT500 and he said that the SC dosent get activated untill like 20 engine starts or something like that?

is that true?

I think it starts working at 5 miles.

there was a discussion on this recently, i believe the result was xx starts or xx continuous driving miles. want to say it was 50 and 5:shrug:

From the GT500 suppliment, page 8:

Alternate Calibration:
The Shelby GT500 power train control module (PCM) is programmed with a temporary strategy that limits supercharger boost and engine speed to 4,000 rpm for the first 5 consecutive miles of vehicles operation or 50 engine start/warmup cycles. This feature is enabled prior to shipment. If neither of these conditions are met prior to customer delivery, full power will not be available.

right at 15 for me.I had no idea I just figured it was pretty weak for 500 hp...quite a shock when I matted it expecting it to do what it had been doing :burnout:.

Interesting, I got mine at 4.8km and it boosted at precisely 12.8 km's, (X 1.6=) 5 miles...
