I have a Tier1 axis elite (none light bearing), minus the mag caddy portion (never really use it).

Will have to order a new light bearing option…

what about you?

If you dont mind my asking why dont you use the magazine caddy with that holster??? As much as I want to run a holster with a mag caddy I always tuck my rig in the door when I drive. On the Raptor the space right below the door handle that fits my M&Pc and holster perfectly and puts it in a perfect place to access if needed. I upload/download my appendix holster while I go for the seatbelt, havent had a passenger notice it yet. I know if I add a mag caddy of some kind I would lose that spot and really dont want to do that, I just need a consistent way for me to carry a reload that I will actually use aside from a pocket with the rest of my junk.

For me, I feel the mag caddy to be “too much”. When I choose the 48 over its more full size compadre (señior 19) it is only because I either need ultimate concealment or I am going to be very active and need to be as light as possible.

I feel 10-15 rounds will definitely get the job done (to defend and gtfo dodge).

I know you didnt ask me and we all do things differently but…. i would reconsider setting my gun aside, somewhere other than my body appendix. That way, no matters what happens, you will always have positive control of that weapon and it will be accessible to you. I can think of many scenarios, where setting it in a cubby or some other cool part of the truck (away from your body) can backfire…

When we went on vacation out of state a couple months ago, I had it on for hours at a time. It was actually my first time using it for an extended. I bought it all a few weeks before. It digs into my side when in sitting which sucked for the rid out of state and back but it was bearable. I wear it at 3 oclock.

Very nice. I see you are also a man of culture!

Have been thinking of giving ol’ Trex some of my money… Although, my current edc holster is working like a champ.

Your holster is an appendix rig tho…. Especially with the mag caddy! Try wearing it at the 12-12:30… just hike up your pants a bit when you sit down…. It will change your life!

If you do decide to stay with 3 o’clock carry, I would definitely look into a holster designed specifically for that.

I finally caved and got the SA (gen2) mags, steel mag release… i’ll test out this week.

Also got the TLR7sub since it is the only light I like for the slim line blocks…. But feels a little “congested” around the trigger . Not a bad little light tho…

The SA mags are good stuff. I have a bunch of their gen1 mags from their first release and never had an issue with them, luckily. When I carry my 43X that’s what I use. Hell I haven’t carried a standard 19 since I made sure they worked well in it.

Speaking from my limited non trained experience, I recommend keeping what you have if it works for you. The only reason I tried this set up (costing nearly $180) was because i wanted to try a popular hostler with a side car and had money to blow. This is my only holster for that newly acquired gun. My usual carry is a LCP in a pocket holster since my normal routine is work then home.

As for your position comments, I will try that. My gut and/or current belt may not allow that however. I was aware of it being an appendix holster but for some reason I remember them saying or stating it could be used else where. I'm going to try another alien wear eventually. I have their cloak tuck for my g27 and it's great. If i carried the sub compact/compact gun more, id entertain more options sooner rather than later. I finally acquired a g19 after several years of wanting one but I acquired the 43x so it's kinda "useless" now for carry. If i carry anything that isnt pocket carry, it stays on me until I get home or to a hotel.

Hahaha I was curious if someone would mention that. Buddy just got a few mags but they didn’t send the release. He wanted to put some rounds through it (it’s a new gun too) so I let him borrow mine

I actually like trying all different type of holsters… Even though it may be ”expensive“ for a piece of kydex… it is totally worth it. Holster is one of the more important aspects of edc’ing a handgun. Very worth the effort and money.

If you get your combo just right, it makes edc’ing a breeze!

I could never do an IWB holster for that reason. I can well imagine the ride wasn't all that pleasant. Both of my OWB leather holsters for my S&W Shields have a leather piece extending upwards to prevent the pistol rail from digging into my side. I can drive while carrying with virtually no pain or irritation.

Glock nerds: I want to upgrade the trigger in my G20 but I am having trouble. APEX is my go to but they do not make a trigger for the full size. It is a Gen 4. What are my options?

since you are a baller, quit ****ing around and CALL Johny Glocks. He can either set you up with one of his modded triggers or a Timney modded set up.

It will not get better than that. Not even close.

or

just be a savage and rock stock… nothing wrong with stock. Lol

And most importantly you are more likely not to leave it home

All my IWB holsters have some thing of that nature. Non rigid material has been better for me. The way i dress, i cant conceal OWB. But than can easily be changed with a light shirt. I do understand one must dress around the gun. Actually, I do need to experiment with OWB and dressing different. I'm glad you brought that up.

Practice more is what I would need. But here you go: Alpha Competition for Glock Large Frame
