Guys that welded in there frame connectors

Hey, question to the guys that welded in there own sub frame connectors, did you pull the seats and lift the carpet? I don't want to be underneath concentrating on my welding and not notice that my interior is on fire. Or is it fine just taking your time on the welding and going slow?

Didn't have to remove any interior carpet or pad.
The part is welded in by "stiching" it. A short weld here, then move to the other side or other end. When you are finished it will look like one continuous weld, without overheating the parts, burning the carpet padding, and lowering the strength of the steel floor pan.

I hate to be a thread jacker but does anyone have a problem with theres scraping? I have Maximum Motorsports and they scrape on stock height, makes me a little worried to lower the car
