Makes perfect sense, thanks for the explanation!!! I will just go that route... The springs are sitting in the box and arent eating anything so I can just take my time and piece the parts together as I can... My be able to snag some stuff at the beach next weekend during Mustang Week....

GT500 Strut Mounts are a must if you change Struts/Shocks most of them were developed for the 05-10 Cars which are different in height although a lot of sites(American Muscle) Specifically say for 11-14's. In turn once you tighten down the factory strut mount collapsing the lowering spring you'll have 3-4 inches sticking out of the top of the strut mount, which means your hood isn't closing. Steeda makes a spacer which is 30 bucks but a lot of people end up getting creaking and popping because ball bearings fall out of the factory strut mounts. Basically since your dropping a grand spend the extra $110 bucks and do it right. I found out the hard way and had to have them overnighted. Learn from my mistakes lol.

The factory mounts will work if you don't change struts/shocks but then you run the risk of blowing seals. I was in the same boat as you guys what started as a 249.99 drop spring turned into a 1500 ordeal. If your taking the time to tear it down just do it all.

Good thing is these cars come apart easy took me about 4 hours to do everything. Granted I had a 1/2 drive cordless impact, in/lb & ft/lb trq wrenches, an 18MM Deep Socket, a Low profile jack and 4 jackstands.

Car Deff rides amazing on soft. Will smoke a boss through corners on hard, looks amazing. While having zero seal blowout issues, not one creak or pop, no increased NVH. I don't regret in anyways biting the bullet and doing it right.

Im low on my coilovers. We cut the rear bump stops in half with a exacto knife. No need to buy different bump stops.

255 front/305's rear are no problem providing you aren't looking for a 40+ series sidewall. If you are this isn't the drop for you
Awesome, I'm a noob when it comes to sidewall/rim-tire off set. But what is the smallest size sidewall that can work with the H&R SS springs? 40? How tall is 40 on a 20'' wheel anyways?

My cheap springs are only a part of an expensive suspension setup now! :(

I want to do it right like some of you guys have done!

Love your car. Did you cut the fronts at all or just the rear. I'm running Steeda Pro-Action Shocks and Struts..Not sure if the stops on the struts are any shorter...Should have compared I guess.

Thanks buddy! Nothing on front. Cut the rears down to the 1st section with a hacksaw buffed them level with a bench grinder and painted them black. Because they're ugly as hell.

just to add too this, as I run the H&R SS as well. Have a picture of the rear bumpstops only, my fronts are the same height as the actual bumpstop itself in that picture without the metal brace. The before after is with the stock 18" rims plastidipped. The others are about a week after I got the RTR 19" rims, which have 285-35-19 MT Street Comps. They are now a dark bronze.

So the pic of the rear bump stops is the stock one and a cut FRPP?... They were the same height were they not? There seems to be some conflicting info about the height of the FRPP stop floating around.
Car looks badass btw.

Yeah, my mistake and they were cheap enough I just decided to use them. The FRPP and stock ones were identical. Same height etc. I too thought they were not as tall and were a different material. Material might be different, then again the ones I took off the car had been in the elements for a year and a half roughly by the time they came off.

thanks btw! She's changed a lot since then, I just don't have any updated pictures.
