Having a lack of money has unfortunately caught up with me.

Here are a few pictures of the Mustangs I've owned.

Purchased when I was 16, bought it stock with 60k and left it that way.

After that, I bought a white 96 gt with a saleen body kit but can't find any pictures at the moment. Will upload soon.

After the 96 came the 95 Cobra

Sold the cobra this past winter and picked up another 91, this one had 50k when I bought it.

Turned 21 just recently and decided it was time to save my money and downgrade. Picked up this 82 280zx T Top. Once its painted and I've done a couple things to it I plan on doing some autocross in it this summer for fun.

Feel free to give me any tips of any kind for the the Z, it would be much appreciated!

Autocross? That cost money. Why not buy a civic and just ride. Gets great mpg and typically maintenance free.

It's just a future plan for it. Trying to land a job at a local hospital currently. Wish me luck! I would prefer a Escort over the Civic but thanks for the advice!

Looks like a really solid 280, congrats!

There have been a few successful 280 autocrossers out there; just gather good knowledge from sites like ZCar:
Autocrossing the 280ZX

Anyone Auto-crossed a 280ZX? - ZDriver.com

..and there's a ton of engine swaps out there (e.g. 383's, turbo 6's)...

Oh, and what's the deal with being financially responsible at 21, trying to have a future or something?! ;)

Thanks for the sites, they are definitely in my bookmarks.

And in answer to your question going to school to be a registered nurse is effing hard! I need to focus on that instead of worrying about buying drag radials right now (ha ha) I just plan on doing the a little work to it and still have my fun this summer.

Being that it's an older car, I'd concentrate on replacing any joints or bushings that are broken or worn (along with regular maintenance items) before upgrading other suspension parts etc...

Ya all my fox bodys were reliable but this car was bought at a good price. The drivetrains in them are very reliable, and it has 119k so the body is in good shape.

I dont plan on doing anything to competitively, just trying to have a little fun with it. I've done a complete tune-up on it so far, so it's running very strong right now.

INNOVATE 1- I'll try my best.
AnthonyNoz- It's just not in as good of shape as my previous cars, I do love it though. My father had the same car and moved from springfield IL to Los Angeles CA in it. I'll be doing the same thing as him, but instead of L.A. I'll be going out to San Diego.

Hope this all works out for you. You'll certainly have much more time later in life, when your career is settled and you have a secure & regular income, to own more Ford toys.
