I'm looking forward to seeing this one. Looks good! Having served on a carrier during the Viet Nam war, it stirs up memories both good and bad. God bless our veterans! I salute you all!
There was a fair amount of action, I just found each scene was cut off too soon, keep in mind I'm veeeery picky with movies like this so I may be in the minority with my opinion of it.Is there a lot of action throughout? I've watched a lot of movies with scenes that defy physics. I can deal with a little poetic license as long as the overall movie is well done, with a high level of action.
Have not seen the movie and won't be going. I couldn't stand the CGI.
Even though many of the actual scenes in the 1976 hit were recycled, at least it was "real" footage.
7 Weird Facts About the 1976 Movie 'Midway'
I remember seeing it in '76, that sensurround was awesome.
Some of the greatest actors in it too - Glenn Ford, Charleton Heston, Robert Mitchum, Henry Fonda...
Dunkirk was terribleMy dad watched it today (AF vet, big WWII history guy) and he said that while he enjoyed it, he was unimpressed with the CGI ans actually mentioned the raw footage from the original.
Of course I reminded him they can’t make more original footage of the battle. He said it was better than Dunkirk.
Illy probably catch it when it’s out if theatres.

Am I wrong? I thought there was supposed to be a new movie about the Doolittle Raid coming out?
