Unlike the other guys MMR dis-assembles and re-assembles your heads for no extra charge -

Possibly a dumb question

I've never had anything ported. Besides some dyno-tuning and new gaskets, would there be anything else necessary when having your heads ported? Or just torque em back on and go?

Just new gaskets, ARP head studs are suggested and thats it. If you choose cams we need to install springs also but it just comes down to what you would like to do. Give us a call , we are happy to discuss!

on stock cams, what does the stage 2 port do on the 4V heads? worth being done on a factory blower

As far as physically it picks up the flow on the head about 15-18cfm over stock, as far as performance is concerned that is about 20-25HP

How large do you make your intake runner volume(cc wise)with your max effort GT500 cylinder head?
Do you keep it as small as possible and look for max flow or do you max out the volume of the runner and try to keep flow up?

It depends on the stage but the Stage 3 for example is as large as we can go on both volume and flow given the casting we are working with.

So if going with your stage 3 ball park volume(CC intake runner) and flow at around 500?

Our pleasure, and flow at .500 is roughly 340cfm @ 28" for the stage 3 MMR port

Like most high end porting our heads are all hand finished, this prevents the rough tooling marks that the CNC machine leaves behind which can/will disrupt/decrease flow.
