My Christmas gift from my wife this year is a set of long tubes and a x pipe. She got me American Racing 1 3/4” long tubes with a 3” catted x pipe. The question I have is will I need a retune in order to run them?

Yes. Some people will elaborate, but your A/F reading will not be the same after install.

You could always just install the mods and then data log to see if changes in the tune are needed. Headers won't throw things off enough to be dangerous.

My JBA Midlengths didn't require any tune changes but the O2 sensors are more or less in the stock location.

They sound amazing! I like a quieter exhaust while just cruising. So I have Bassani catback. But open it up and it's down right loud. Throws a lot of people off guard, they don't expect it.

Is your midpipe catted?

I have a set but they lasted about as long as it took for shipping on off road

Big difference in both sound and feel
