Help With Cam Timing

I am getting the P1381 trouble code dealing with my Cam Timing.

Anyone have success fixing this and live around Voorhees, NJ?

Has your timing belt been done? You do know the SVT is an interference engine I hope?

Right now I am at 67000 miles and I have only put 12,000 myself.

It looks as though the previous owner replaced it.

When is the right time to change them?

By Intereference do you mean Variable Cam Timing?

I wouldn't exceed 90k or 9 years on a belt.

Interference means that if the belt slips or sheds teeth you end up with pistons hitting valves.

The standard Zetec is a non-interference engine due to it's lower compression ratio so it the belt goes it just stopes running.

If the belt goes on an SVT the engine is junk or at the very least needs very expensive repair.
