I use an electric beard trimmer, no guard, once a week. Looking at getting something electric that shaves a little closer.

Any recommendations? Preferably something I could adjust an ass hair or two higher than perfectly down to the skin.

I shit canned Gillette, then Dollar Shit Club, and switched over to a safety razor a few years back made by a company called Van Der Hagen. A pack of blades is $2.90, so its light on the wallet for shaving 5 days a week.

I tried safety razor shaving, I just couldn’t get it down, always ended up with multiple nicks, switched to Harry’s razors because they’re so much cheaper than gillette, they work very well for me, and they last awhile for me, I generally shave every other day, a single cartridge last me 8 weeks before it’s starts getting irritating

Used Harry’s for the first time today. It didn’t need a shave or two break in like DSC. Happy Camper!

Interesting thread. I have always used cartridge shave. Electric does not not do it for me. I shave once every day unless Im lazy.

I used the Atra for years and moved to the Mach series and used it for a long time. A bit less than year ago, Gillette had a new heated razor appear and been using that ever since. The razor and cartridge are entirely new and been real happy withe results.

Heated Razor Starter Kit by GilletteLabs

Its a bit pricey for the razor and cartridge. Refills (3 cartridges @ $25) last 3 -4 months. Gillette has an auto reorder direct from them where every 4th refill is free.

Each cartridge last a month then? $200 to start. Wow. If it was $50 I’d try it.
