How far can a new F150 Lightning pull a 6000lb travel trailer?

Does hauling 2 grandpa farm quads around in an enclosed trailer weighing 4000 lbs at absolute max really count as towing? lol

You could get that work done in a '88 long bed Chevy pick up and leave the trailer at home.
Are you serious? Man you’re really reaching here. And I wouldn’t consider a 3-pedal Yamaha YXZ a grandpa farm quad….

You said I’ve never towed. I proved you wrong. I also tow a jet ski, lawn equipment, construction materials, and a small camper.

Foot in mouth.

I'd like to try out one of those Yamahas.

Called it lol

Explorers get that shit because my 02 v6 could tow that much.
I think a V8 02-05 was rated to yank around 7k.

Similar theme, going backwards in the name of “progress”
My 06 4.0l exploder actually towed my boat and stuff pretty well for what it was

Didnt like to stop it though lol

It’s a blast, man. I’m super glad I was able to find a manual one.
If you haven’t done an intake spacer/tune/exhaust yet, I’d highly recommend it. Really wakes them up. I had a 3 pedal YXZ for a while before switching to an X3

The local Ford has a Lightning on the lot for 45.9 (according to website) but who knows if there is a ADM. Either way, you could drive past it and really not give it a second look which didn't happen with the second gen.

So Cal
now imagine if they were towing in cold CO weather!

are they planning on making real work trucks EV as well? as in, ALL trucks eventually electric? 6000lbs isnt that much.... you can easily get there towing a car on a trailer. isnt 7000lbs the goal for most CUV/SUVs?

so basically this thing is a giant family sedan with a huge trunk to haul family stuff.

lol at filling the bed with a generator and diesel fuel tank

I have not, any particular brand you recommend?
I had Alba’s SBD kit and their cams on mine. If I ever get more free time I want another one setup for short track and those will be probably the only mods I do

Just drove the new Lightning. Its quick, and very comfortable.
Should be a hot seller, minus the lack of towing distance.

Besides the Gen 3 Raptor, the EV model is the best driving F-150 currently in production.
I would agree, however my Ram TRX drives better and smoother than both Raptor and Lightning.
