Just thought i'd ask the question how high does everyone rev their engine during normal everyday driving, MTX and ATX? Just wondering how hard or how easy everyone runs their sho's

I try to keep it under 4k in normal driving conditions... but every once in a while the engine hypnotizes you and makes you floor it just to hear the secondaries.

About 4k RPMs on my '90 SHO MTX

I think one of my rear brakes was hanging up and dragging today, but it went away. I hadn't driven the SHO in over a week since I was out of town, and then drove my other cars when I got back.:(

GRIFF:

I'm going through the same thing. If the brakes drag, then stop dragging, it most likely is your brake hoses. They close up over time. Another thing to check is next time you feel the brakes dragging lift up on the brake pedal with your foot and if that cures it, put a tiny "helper" return spring on your brake pedal because the spring in the booster is getting weak.

Grazy quirks of the SHO's. But we love 'em.

I shift about 3500 usually unless Im feeling granpaish and then Ill shift at 3450 :D I have shifted at the 7400 fuel cut off, but accrounding to a well know SHO expert 6800 RPM is the sweet spot, so if IM street racing I try to shift there..........

Like Prophet said, this engine loves to rev. I normally shift anywhere from 3-4 k but the engine sounds so good and it's so responsive you can't help yourself revving up to 6k on a constant basis just to get another "fix" :rolling:

Zach:

My wife has poor taste in cars. I bought her a 35th Anniversary convertible Mustang GT with a five speed for her 40th birthday and she only had it a year and a half. She wanted to buy her own car and now she drives a Saab 9.3 rag top. The good news is, I have two less vehicles to maintain (the Stang and her winter driver, '93 ATX SHO) because they are both gone and I don't touch that friggin' Saab!!!

Women? Can't live with 'em

I fail to see the attraction in that piece of crap. The turbo lag is horrendous. All I know is she likes it and she's happy.

I'm happy too because I have less work and more time to devote to my cars and tracking this summer

Like you say Zach; Yeah Baby
