How much oil pressure?

I need help now, how many rpm do you have at 51 Psi?
And how much psi maximum?

I see about 80psi on start up. drops to around 55-60 at 2000 rpm cruising, 28-30 at idle. This is with a 5w-30 and 10w-30 conventional oil during the break in of my new motor

Oh, I agree with the choice, and honestly think that anything over a heavy 30/light 40 weight is too much viscosity for this engine. More testing on this very soon.

I don't think Ford went overkill on the oil they recommend, I just think they knew it would easily shear to an oil that mimics what I said above.

brought her up to 4000 today and kept eyes on revs, @ 4000 I was at around 76 psi oil pressure
