How to remove C O B R A inserts?

Anyone ever remove the vinyl COBRA letter inserts from the rear bumper? I tried a little area and they crumble into little pieces. Don't want to go through that PITA!

Any help appreciated.

What kind of inserts are they? Stickers? Thick badges?

They should just peel off. Heat them up then try to peel them off. If they are a cheap type of sticker/vinyl they are going to peel in little sections like you described. Use heat (blow dryer should work great) and they should come off much easier

I always had good luck with my wife's garment steamer whether i needed to remove stickers or window tint.
