I finally nutted up and bought the set I really wanted. Ha ha. They were ceramic coated before the tires went on.
I went with 17x10's RTS S71's with the S550 fitment in the rear for a little extra backspace (8" / +64) vs my old S197 15x10 RTS S71's (7.5" / +50). This tire (305/45 ET Street R) is also .5" narrower than the tire I ran last year (28x10.5x15 Pro Bracket Radial), yet has 3/8" wider tread width. So all told, these are tucked in 3/4" per side more than my old setup. The car has base GT brakes.
