On february 20 i got into a pretty bad accident. It was 1:40 in the morning on a friday night. I had been hanging out with some friends and was taking them home when we came around the corner at about 60-65 when i was looking at a trucks headlights in my lane. All i could do is jerk the wheel to avoid hitting the truck head on. I fought it back and forth across the road but right at the end the back wheel dropped off the shoulder and spun the car around backwards into a tree......

On to the carnage....

i am still unsure what the insurance company is going to do because the other driver did not stop and i only had liability on the car. My claims lady said that if my passenger could confirm that we were run off the road it would be covered by uninsured motorist coverage. so thats what im hoping for.

Everybody is okay with only minor bruises and a couple sprained ankles and wrists.

But, i found a replacement already for the car that i think i will enjoy just as much....

Its a 95 cobra with 80,000 original miles that i bought from the original owner for 4500 bucks...

yes. i called the police. they came and did a full inspection and the officer said everything checked out for the story to make sense. And my insurance company is actually being very easy to get along with. my passenger is still a minor so her mother has to tell the insurace company its okay to take a statement from her and then they would give me a quote for what the car is worth and we would figure it out from there. im gonna buy the car back because it has tons of money in parts on it.

Glad noone got hurt. But is there more to the story? Why take a corner at 60+? Alcohol involved?

Wow...glad to see you guys are all okay, those picture are pretty nasty.
That other driver is a serious POS.

Nice looking replacement; enjoy it!

well i would already venture to guess that truck driver must have been drunk to be in the opposite lane and not stop and notice a car swerving out of control because of him/her.

sorry to hear that brother, im not a fan of the sn-95's but we all have our own taste! and im sure there are '98 and below mustangs with relatively low miles.

Umm...because it is (what appears to be) a rural road. The turn, providing the picture provided is of the turn, doesn't look sharp at all. Besides, the accident sounds to have happened following the turn, so it doesn't seem to have had anything to do with the accident.

no alcohol. it was late and i was ready to be home. the curve is a 45 limit so its not really that sharp. i know i screwed up, but at least i owned up to it and told the cop the truth that i was going a little fast. the officer apparently felt bad for me or was a mustang guy because he only gave me a 2 point ticket for 82 bucks. which will keep my insurance down and help the pocket at a time like this.

Drivers are getting worse and worse. they will give a liscense to anybody these days. Most accidents are caused by other people and us mustang people get the ass end of the deal.....
