Car is stock with the exception of K&N FIPK 36thou on the clock and all of a sudden the idle is hanging up it eventually drops down but it is happening more and more. Usually at about 1200 rpms, Ive searched the forum but its all with cars that have changed out there throttle bodys. Anybody got any ideas?

Ever cleaned out the throttle body? Might be some carbon build up catching the plate

Make sure you don' t over oil your FIPK filter.
Also, try dis-connecting the battery for about an hour.
The car will need to 're-learn' the idle for a short while,
that may make a difference.
Ever changed the plugs?

I have a similar problem. On the street I tend to drop the car in neutral when coasting to a red light.
The idle often hangs and doesn't drop to 750 until after the car is stopped?

So the list of possible things to check so far from previous posts:
Clean the TB
Check plugs
Disconnect batt for an hour so ECM "relearns" the idle
Make sure air filter isn't over-oiled
Here's 3 more to try : replace the PCV valve, & clean the IAC valve and the MAF wire
Remember, DON'T TOUCH the wire, just spray on some electronics friendly
cleaner like CRC and let it dry thoroughly before starting the car
