Because the latch is a cheaper and simpler to replace in case anything happend during modification.

Cutting the holes was the easiest, just used a dremel with a cutting wheel then a sanding wheel. It did take a little to get the pins to come up straight because the latches don't mount flat due to the design of the hood. So the pins need to be angled so go in without hitting anything. Adjust, tighten then repeat about 20 times then your set.
Id do it again tomorrow for the security and the look of these pins
I'm working on getting my aerocatch pins installed this weekend, would you mind posting a picture with the hood up so I can see the pin location?
