Iowa Cruise 2009: Ideas

I just thought I would get a thread started so we can start kicking around some ides on what to do!

We are looking at May 2nd, 9th or 16th.

I am leaning more towards the 16th, Top Down Weather :dancenana:

Lets start getting some suggestions thrown out, so we can pin something down! I would like to make this more of a cruise and stop for some pics here and there. I am thinking (depending on the amount of people) we can just stop by restaurant for dinner or lunch!

Here is my input:

May 16th because it's funner cruising topless.

- Central IA
Have multiple meeting sites if there is going to be a large amount of guys coming from different areas. Meet up one large spot. Take some pics of each other's rides and shoot the sh#$. I would also think this spot would be near an area with scenic crusing through central IA with a stop or two, but then end up on an interstate. Cruise on that for a while and end up at restaruant with a large parking lot.

This next part is depending if there is interest or not. Try to setup a dyno - day (non - tunng) at Lund's. I remember hearing a while ago that another shop was going to get a dyno. If that is true then perhaps try something over there.

If people are not interested, then we could call it a day and go about our ways. Again, try to hit up our local site sponsors for some gift cards or any sort of freebies.

- I'm not opposed to any other parts of the state, so I hope that doesn't deter people from Omaha / Council Bluffs, CR / Iowa City / QC from not adding their input and ideas!

Well atleast ur givin me some time to get the truck done, maybe the 9th just for a date. Iam pretty much set for any part of the state, Iam not scared to drive awhile thats why I bought it in the first place. I would think we will have to decide which way we are goin and then look at places to go in that part of the state. Just my 2 cents..

My first choice would probably be to head west towards Neb and meet up with some of those guys. But if we could get more Iowa guys by meeting somewhere in central Iowa I am up for that as well.

I vote May 16th nearish Omaha/Council Bluffs :banana: Maybe hit up Loess Hills like what was suggested in the Omaha thread.

+1. I have been to that casino's buffet and it is good. Wasn't able to gamble because I was too young at the time.

I've heard C&S Motorsports is a pretty good shop. Be pretty fun to check out stuff over there.

I would say let go ahead and set a date and we can figure the details out as we go. I know a lot of guys work on the weekend and by pinning down a date they can get a request in.
