I'm down for that date. It is months away, so who really knows? I say we do something like casino buffet and then cruise out Dodge all the way west, then take the Interstate back to CB, OR Interstate West and take Dodge back east. We could do something like Ice Cream's route. What you think Mach??

If you guys could lay out a route that we could look at, that would be cool to think about!

Well has your group decided to come to the casino in CB or what?

We need to come up with a spot that works for everyone.

What is the best place for us to meet at coming westbound?

I'd figured we'd meet where ever there is a large parking lot or an easy place to find!

I think we are leaning towards this. It seems like you have quite a few people around there and it would be nice to meet up with you guys. Most Casinos have large lots anyways so that isn't a problem. What Casino has the best Buffet?

We can pin down some more details as time draws near, but it sounds like a cruise to Council Bluffs is what we are leaning towards.

I would like to see if MAM is doing anything that day (is that on a gravel road?) or find a nice route we can cruise and maybe stop and take some pics at.

If there is enough interest we could think about cruising back to Lunds and having some dyno time. We would have to get some kind of deposit up front for that though and see if it will work with them!

Idk which buffet is better they're both good but they're both kinda expensive (>$10 a person). The road is paved to get to MAM now. We could cruise down Dodge or through the Loess Hills kinda depends on if any out of towners want to see more of Omaha I guess? Maybe people can go to MAM later if they want. I enjoy cruising in my car with the ttops off more than beating on it for 1/8 of a mile tho so dunno if I'd race my car at MAM. I would race my car at a 1/4 mile track but I really have no interest in the 1/8. I personally do not want to get my car dyno'ed.. but I would be up for pictures. Probably have to get pics of just the Stangs together and then some group pictures or something.

I wasn't necessarily thinking about running at MAM just going over to watch a little Saturday Racing action.

How far into Omaha are the Loess Hills. The Cruising is the main part of this, last year we didn't get to cruise nearly enough.

The Loess hills are on the west side of IA like from Glenwood to Council Bluffs. I've never been there I missed one of the cruises that went there. They're just supposed to be a fun curvy rd. If we went on Dodge Street say from the Old Market to past West Omaha that would be more of a tour of Omaha which could be nice if you all wanted to see a lot of Omaha and when you get out West there's room to play. There's some good places to take pictures off of Dodge as well imo.

Before I totally confirm that we are coming out that way, it would be nice to see what kind of interest you guys have on the Omaha Side.

What other things are there to do around Council Bluffs, are there any go-kart tracks, maybe some mini-golf anything like that. I would just like to figure out some more options than just Driving around 400mi that day.

I just checked out Google Maps and it is 130mi from Des Moines to Council Bluffs.

A large part of this will also depend on what gas prices are like next year.

I am not going to say there WILL be any high speed runs, that is up to each individual person. I don't want to condone this for the cruise. However if it happens it happens, I don't want any responsibility for anything that happens.

Well there are other things to do.. not sure what people would want to do. All of my weekend activites other than cruising tend to involve drinking &/or playing pool, watching movies or hot tubbing.

Around Omaha there's mini golf like putt putt. There's Papio Fun Center which could be kinda fun it has a gokart track, mini golf, pool table, air hockey, the big things you jump on and try to shoot hoops against your opponent. We could also do something at the big park in Papillion which is right by Papio Bay and Papio Fun Center. Sometimes my sister & I play tennis there. There's three playgrounds. One of the playgrounds has the tennis court, basketball court, sand volleyball and raquetball court by it.

Las time I went to MAM I did take my Camaro. The road to it was paved. I think the parking lot was dirt/grass or maybe it was gravel idk but there were no issues, as anal as I am about my car, with parking it. It was $5 per spectator & $20 to race. idk what MAM does on Saturdays tho cuz that was a Friday & only the second time I've ever been to MAM. I didn't race either time.

I've been to both Ameristar and Harrah's. They're both good, but I think I'd lean towards Harrah's simply because I like the interior better.

I always wanted to take a group picture similar to this at this bank off Dodge too. Might be kinda hard to do on a Saturday though. When I've taken my cars out there on Sundays there's been a few cars that were driving in & out.

This is the rest of the bank

In Omaha, we have a lot of meets on the weekends so I think most would be up for it.

How far into Omaha is this? This place sounds like it could be a lot of fun! Just checked and it is 13mi from CB

I checked there site and they have nothing scheduled yet, but it is $10 just to watch, so I think that will be a NO GO

Harrah's sounds good, I think the company I work for did some of the Millwork down there.

How far is the drive to the bank from Papio Fun Center. I am sure if enough of us were there, people would be driving through.

Last year we had about 13 cars show up, I don't know if we will be able to get that many to cruise all the way up to Omaha, but we will see what happens
