I was talking with a co worker this evening and we were discussing the new ranger and realized neither of us have seen more than 1 new ranger around. It's been out since what late 2018 early 19? I've seen exactly 1 ranger out on the road although dealers always seem to have them parked out front. And I drive 60 miles a day and work in a busy area.

Just makes me wonder if anyone is buying the new ranger. Hell I've seen a different gladiator once a week since they were released only a few months ago.

I looked at them out of curiosity the last time I was at the stealership for an airbag recall. My thought at the time was “why the hell wouldn’t I just pay a couple thousand more and get a half ton?”

Obviously back in the day, Rangers were budget trucks...but not anymore. I had at least one ranger, a 1st gen explorer, and a Navajo. All were great trucks. I couldn’t see buying a new one unless it was way cheaper than they are currently listing for.

No they suck! Ford did nothing but bring the half assed world ranger to the us.

Tried like hell to find a clean 02-07 Ranger FX4 Level 2 but finally ended up with 19 Tacoma TRD Off Road. Too bad the bronco was not out yet.

They’ve been discounting the hell out of them in my area.

Ford forced so many Rangers on each dealer. They’ve been sitting for a year now the 20’s are in the way. They have to discount them heavily.

One of many Ford mistakes these past two years.

My local dealer has 3 rows of the suckers. They have almost as many rangers as F150s

I talked to the owner of small truck dealer. Ford forced them to take so many rangers. Way more than they wanted.
Currently they have 21 on their lot.

The ranger looks awful is mediocre off road and costs way too much. You can get an sweet new STX F150 4x4 crew for same price as a ranger msrp.

Nick may be able to add to this thread as well, @13COBRA.

I dont understand why Ford screwed you guys on the ranger price. Its almost the same in usd as it is in cad so for us the ranger is priced really well. I see a max of 3 sitting on the lots at the bigger dealers. If for some reason someone actually wanted one, buying a lightly used one up here would be a wicked savings.

Was the ranger available in Canada while it was gutted in the US?

I’m still pissed I could not buy your friends truck. I wish I had it...bank says no to $11k loan and yes to a $38k loan? Makes no sense!!

I test drove a lariat ranger 2 weeks ago and walked away not very impressed.

Trans tuning is very bad IMO.

Did it have the 10 speed? They are very quirky until they learn your drive patterns.

I'll start off by saying I've owned 6 rangers over the past 22 years...

I was thinking about a new ranger to replace my 05' that is about to turn 300K miles. Saw the price and went right out and found the cleanest low mile 2011 ranger I could find optioned the way I wanted. I should be good for another ten years.

Yes and I’m sure you’re right. I just don’t remember my mustang acting like that when it was brand new but who knows.
