After almost 20 years of lusting after one of these, I finally pulled the trigger. It is ultimately my wife's car we will work on together. I know it's a long shot but I figured I would ask to see if anyone knew it or its mod history or history in general. It's a 2003 DSG Vert with 67k miles. 2 owner car from Michigan, looks like it was in for service regularly until 50k miles. Trans replaced under warranty. Accident in 2018. Appears mostly stock, it looks like it had some resonators swapped where the mufflers would be but otherwise, the exhaust looks stock. Stock wheels with Nittos on them. No pulley that I can tell but I am new to these but the pulley looks pretty big. Stock intake. The shifter feels pretty notchy but it's been 15 years since I've driven a new edge so I forget the feeling. VIN 1FAFP49Y43F425587

Great.

Anyone know if that is the stock pulley? It looks pretty stock, looks like it has paint on the nose of snout from when installed. Could have been returned back to stock. Next few days are looking great after 3 days of rain. Gonna get it out and go through it tomorrow.

Yes, that's the stock pulley.

Not familiar with the car, but she looks great. Looks 99% stock. Looks like the clutch cable and firewall adjuster was changed, added light bar, and missing the pulley cover. Good looking car.

Thanks, very happy with it so far just waiting on the proper paperwork so I can actually get some real seat time with it and teach my wife to drive stick. I detail cars so I was pretty nervous not being able to see it up close when buying it but outside of some moderate swirling its in excellent shape, nothing you wouldn't see on a car with that 70k miles and driven in nice weather.

For a 2003 Cobra with 67K miles on it, that driver's seats looks to be in great shape. I don't see any noticeable side bolster wear on seating discoloration from wear.

Outside of a little staining behind the driver seat interior seems like its in pretty good shape for the mileage. I just went through and vacuumed and dusted today, didn't notice anything weird or missing. Going to hit the bolsters with some Leatherique in the near future. Paint is in decent shape, LOTS of swirling that I need to correct but minimal chipping. One touch up mark on the side of the rear bumper.

I grabbed a pic of the underside facing the rear. The tips seem stock but the mufflers dont. The midpipe seems stock but the cats seem small to me for some reason.

The cat looks stock to me. But I know a couple aftermarket mid pipes that use a stock type cat. As TerminatorRS mentioned check the number of cats.

I'm curious about those mufflers. They look like resonators I've seen on old school hot rods. How does the car sound?

Yes, there are 4 cats. Everything aftermarket I've seen is usually none or two. It sounds decent enough, got a bit of burple. I was thinking of swapping it with a catted mid-pipe and either Bassani, Borla, or Magnaflow cat-back.
