Is my eec toast?

Problem: car was running and misfiring very badly but running. Car doesn't run anymore.

OBD device cannot connect to eec anymore. What are bad eec symptoms?

Ecu's generally only go bad if the battery dies while uploading a tune. check your fuses, then bust out the multimeter and check all voltages. I personally would suspect the CCRM before the ECU

Does your interior light and the door ding come on with the key in the ignition and turned to the Acc mode? If neither of those two come on then you have a blown fuse and the OBD2 power comes from the same fuse.
