Got my catted x today, LOVE IT!!!! Butt..my question is, there is this ticking sound between about 2000-3000 rpm, is it a leak or is it the raspiness of the x and stingers?

When the guy installed the x pipe, he re-used the stock gasket from the stock mid-pipe, the upr x pipe didnt come with any gaskets. Although Im sure I could have reused the gasket from my mac off road h.

Any thoughts?

Sounds like a leak to me. :shrug:

It's always a good idea to put in a new manifold gasket whenever you replace a mid-pipe. It's possible that it could be leaking slightly. Buy a new gasket and take it back to the installer and have him replace it and check the fittings for leaks.

I need to get the leak checked and try to see if they can adjust the stingers so the damn midpipe doesnt hang that low. It's seriously like 3 inches off the ground.

My untrained ears couldn't hear a leak...but the car sounds hella nice.... :rockon:
