He has shared his humbled awakening. His emotional description shows his deep thought on the matter. He did not share his true conviction. He questioned it twice. "What if someone truly believed" That part comes when you accept Christ as lord and savior. Your saved not by your works but by his grace.

Truth! I would wonder how much Scripture (especially New Testament, Ephesians especially) he has read. It sounds to me like he's at a place of personal conviction, but still seeking a fulfillment and surrender of all to Christ. I credit him with clearly stating where he is at this moment.
